Project VJL is a private family home. The owners wanted an independent manager on their side of the table for the construction stage: someone to check the contractor's work against the drawings and the invoices against the work.
VIDA's weekly presence on site covers progress against the programme, quality hold points before work is covered up, and health and safety. Cost is reported monthly with a running forecast of the final account, so the owners always know where they stand.
Foundations and structure have been delivered in sequence with the programme. Sustainability choices, including the embodied carbon of the structure, were reviewed with the design team before the concrete was ordered.
