Our approach

Your ambition.
A clear way forward.

A building brings many people, decisions and details together. Our role is to connect them around your priorities, from the first conversation to the final handover.

The VIDA method

Three verbs. One working method.

Measure the brief. Manage the interfaces. Execute the agreed programme. Each part informs the next, and the decisions stay connected throughout.

What this gives you

A clearer starting point, with the assumptions and next decisions visible.

Understand the project before committing to it.

We start with what you want to achieve, the site or premises, and the resources available. Those conversations become a brief, a cost plan and a realistic sequence of work.

  1. Define the brief

Agree the intended use, priorities, scope and questions that still need an answer.

  2. Test the constraints

Bring site conditions, design requirements, approvals, budget and timing into the same conversation.

  3. Set the baseline

Establish the starting cost plan and programme so later changes can be assessed against them.

Independent, on your side

One point of contact. Clear responsibilities.

VIDA represents you and coordinates the project team. We do not replace the architect, the engineers or the contractor. We help their work come together around an agreed brief, budget and programme.

You

Set priorities. Make informed decisions.

VIDA

Coordinate. Monitor. Report.

  • Architect & designers

    Design intent and coordinated drawings.

  • Engineers & specialists

    Technical design and specialist input.

  • Contractor & trades

Build and carry out the works.

A coordination map. Appointment terms define each party’s contractual responsibilities.

When the project changes

Keep the decision clear. Keep the record connected.

A material substitution, an additional room, an unforeseen site issue. Changes need a considered response, with the implications understood before the next instruction.

See the client portal
  1. Record the request

Capture the proposed change and the drawings, notes or information behind it.

  2. Review the impact

Coordinate the team’s assessment of scope, cost, programme and quality implications.

  3. Bring the decision to you

Present the information needed for your response and record the decision.

  4. Follow the agreed action

Track the approved change, update the relevant records and follow it through the works.

Your project, in view

A place to see where things stand.

Between conversations and site visits, your client portal keeps the project within reach. See the progress, understand the next decision and find the information behind it.

The whole picture, at a glance.

See overall progress, the target handover, the next milestone and the budget position. Current work and recent activity keep the numbers in context.

Working together

A few things worth clarifying.

Do you design or build the project?

No. We act on the client’s side. Architects, engineers and contractors retain their own roles; VIDA coordinates and monitors the project, and reports to you.

Can you join a project that is already under way?

The starting point is a review of the brief, appointments, drawings, costs and programme. We then discuss the gaps and agree what support is practical for the stage your project has reached.

What will you need from me?

Your priorities, the information you already have, and timely responses to the decisions that need your input. We help identify those decisions and bring the relevant information together.

How do I stay informed?

Project reports and the client portal bring together progress, documents, decisions and variations. We keep the next actions visible and discuss the issues that need your attention.
