VIDA / USING OUR WEBSITE
Terms and conditions
Clear expectations for our website, project information and client portal.
- Explore with confidence
- Discover our services and approach. Confirm project-specific information with VIDA before relying on it.
- Understand each response
- Portal actions create a record. The current shared demo is for testing, using fictitious information.
- Keep your rights
- Your project agreement and mandatory legal protections remain in place. Contact us if something needs clarification.
About these terms
This website is operated by VIDA Project Management Ltd, Mauritius (“VIDA”, “we”, “us”). You can contact us at info@vidaprojectmanagement.com about the website or these terms.
These terms explain the permitted use of our website and demonstration portal. They do not appoint VIDA to manage a project, create a construction contract or record your acceptance of a paid service. Contacting us is an enquiry; a service appointment requires a separate agreement.
Where a project agreement addresses the same matter, that agreement governs the commissioned service. Mandatory legal rights take priority over both documents.
Website and project information
Our service descriptions, articles and project pages help you understand our work. They are general information, rather than a project-specific quotation, technical instruction or professional assessment of your site.
Budgets, programmes, milestones and availability depend on the project and may change. Ask VIDA to confirm the current scope, costs and dates before making a commitment. This does not reduce our responsibility for accurate descriptions or representations made to you.
Some photographs, animations and visualisations are generated or illustrative. They communicate a concept and should not be treated as evidence that the exact depicted building was constructed or managed by VIDA. A project name or description does not, by itself, make an accompanying visual a verified site photograph.
Appointing VIDA for a project
Before work begins, the project appointment should identify the parties, services, deliverables, fees, payment arrangements, responsibilities and agreed approval procedures. Changes, termination and dispute handling belong in that agreement.
VIDA’s management role, and the roles of architects, engineers, contractors and other consultants, depend on their respective appointments. The website does not transfer their responsibilities or replace permits, statutory inspections, specialist design or site-safety procedures.
No payment, cancellation charge, liability cap or defects period is created by this page. Project-specific commercial terms must be agreed separately, subject to applicable law.
The client portal
When configured, the portal uses your individual Route Royal account and displays projects explicitly assigned to you. Protect your credentials and contact VIDA if project access appears incorrect. Website visitors are not automatically granted project access.
If a separately enabled demonstration is shown, use only fictitious details. Demo edits and responses persist on its server and may be visible to other people using the shared account. Signing out does not erase them.
Live decision, variation and document responses are unavailable until the corresponding client services are connected. Use the agreed project communication and approval procedures in the meantime. A user’s authority to give instructions or approve costs must be agreed for that project.
Responses in the current demo are test records. They do not instruct contractors, approve expenditure or amend a real project contract.
Decisions, variations and audit records
Read the item, selected option, relevant document version and any displayed cost or programme impact before confirming a response. If something is unclear, ask VIDA to clarify it before taking action.
The demonstration records decision confirmations, variation approvals or declines, and document approvals. Records include the response and note, the profile’s name and email, the recorded time and, where available, request IP address and browser information.
An audit entry shows what the application recorded. Shared demo access does not verify an individual’s identity, and the record is not a certified digital signature or a guarantee of an unalterable record.
For a future live service, the effect of a response will depend on the agreed project procedure, the user’s authority and applicable law. Electronic records can have legal significance; a portal click should not be assumed to satisfy every required contract or statutory formality.
If a response was entered incorrectly or without authority, contact VIDA promptly with the item reference and details. Resolution must follow the applicable project procedure and preserve a clear record of the correction.
Documents and confidential material
Demo documents and their status labels illustrate the workflow. File downloads are not available until VIDA connects file storage. A listed document, approval label or preview is not permission to build from it.
On an appointed project, use only the revision issued for the relevant purpose by the authorised project team. Ask for clarification if a document is superseded, incomplete or inconsistent with another instruction.
Keep confidential project information within its authorised audience. Share material only where you have permission or a lawful basis. Ownership, licences and any confidentiality obligations for commissioned deliverables are governed by the relevant agreement and law.
Responsible use
Use the website and portal lawfully and with respect for other users and their information.
- Do not impersonate someone, misrepresent your authority or try to access another person’s project or restricted information.
- Do not introduce malicious code, disrupt the service, bypass access controls or extract information through abusive automated requests.
- Do not submit material that is unlawful, misleading, abusive or infringes another person’s rights.
- Report suspected security issues to VIDA. Do not use the portal to report an emergency or give urgent site-safety instructions; use the project’s established emergency and site-contact arrangements.
Content and intellectual property
VIDA branding, website copy, layouts and media are owned or used under permission by VIDA, subject to third-party rights. You may view the site and keep reasonable copies for personal reference or to evaluate our services, with notices and attribution intact.
For republication, commercial reuse or use of our branding, obtain the relevant permission first unless the law permits the use. Nothing here restricts a statutory exception or a licence you already hold.
You retain any rights you have in material you provide. Providing information for an enquiry does not transfer its ownership to VIDA. Project deliverable rights are dealt with in the appointment, rather than through these website terms.
Privacy and external services
Our Privacy Policy explains personal information, cookies, demo records and privacy requests, including Mauritius’s data-protection framework and GDPR or POPIA where applicable. These terms do not replace that notice or waive your privacy rights.
Links to other websites are provided for convenience. Their content and terms are controlled by their operators. Contact links open your email application; sending an enquiry is your choice.
Availability and access
Website and demo access may be interrupted by maintenance, technical faults or security incidents. The portal is not an emergency channel and has no agreed service-availability commitment. Live-project access and communication arrangements belong in the project agreement.
VIDA may restrict access when reasonably necessary to address misuse or protect the service and information. Where practicable, we will explain the reason and how to contact us about it. Restrictions do not cancel contractual obligations, remove legal rights or justify withholding records you are entitled to receive.
Responsibility and your legal rights
We aim to keep the website accurate and useful. Please tell us about errors or difficulties so they can be investigated. General website content does not replace the advice, inspection or approval required for your particular project.
These terms do not exclude liability for fraud, deliberate wrongdoing or anything that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited. They do not impose a blanket disclaimer of responsibility, an indemnity on you or a fixed cap on recoverable loss. Any claim is subject to applicable law and, for commissioned services, the relevant project agreement.
Mandatory consumer, data-protection and other statutory protections remain available. If part of these terms is unenforceable, it applies only to the extent permitted by law; the remaining terms continue where they can operate fairly and lawfully.
Questions, governing law and updates
Mauritian law governs these website terms, subject to mandatory protections and jurisdiction rules that apply to you. They do not prevent you from contacting a regulator or bringing a claim before a court with lawful jurisdiction. A commissioned project may have its own agreed dispute procedure.
Contact info@vidaprojectmanagement.com with a question or complaint, giving the relevant page or item reference and a description of the issue. We will seek to resolve it fairly. You do not have to complete an informal complaint process before exercising a legal right or seeking urgent relief.
The English and French versions are intended to convey the same terms. Please ask us to clarify any discrepancy; these terms give neither language automatic priority over the other.
Updates will be published here with a revised date. A website update does not retrospectively change an existing project agreement, a recorded project approval or an accrued right. Material changes to a live service must follow the relevant notice and agreement requirements.
